Rock n' Roll Camp for Girls San Diego seeks to empower girls through music education. With guidance and resources from the International Girls Rock Camp Alliance, we hope to help girls in San Diego build self-esteem and find their voices using unique programming.Our mission at Rock n' Roll Camp for Girls San Diego is to bring the community together to empower girls through music, and we envision a world where girls and women collaborate and lift each other up; a safe space for girls to use their creativity and nurture their self-esteem and self-expression.We believe that empowering girls through music education is a powerful tool for self-expression, that inspiring collaboration, communication, and respect encourages girls to embrace the uniqueness in themselves and others, and that creating a safe outlet for girls to express their thoughts, share ideas, and cultivate dreams will help build a strong, diverse community.Our weeklong day camp for girls between the ages of 8-17 uses music as a powerful way for girls to learn how to communicate and collaborate, while being guided by inspirational female mentors. No prior music experience required!In one week, campers form multiple bands, write an original song, learn to play an instrument, perform a live show for their friends and family, and participate in self-esteem and skills building workshops such as self-defense, image identity, digital design... and more!
