In 2017, Yizhou Zhang (co-founder) decided to bring his research and innovation at Royal institute of Technology (KTH) to the business. In 2019, they created the company - ROCK TECH and aims to provide real time crowding detecting system solution in public transportation. With patented solution, ROCK TECH's crowding detecting system doesn't require any modification in the metro and bus (NO TOUCH). The system is installed inside tunnel or bus stop, and scan each departing metro/bus. The system is able to detect minimum 1mm till 16mm item in an accelerating metro/bus with 96.4% accuracy. Under supervision of Stockholm metro operator (MTR Nordic) and Stockholm public transport company (SL), the pilot detecting system was running in Stockholm metro station for one year and proved it's high reliability and accuracy.
