Rocket Bike is a nonprofit organization (NGO) aiming at making it easier for people with entrepreneurial minds looking for new horizons to start their business abroad. Its mission is to identify, connect and gather stories and advice from expatriate and local entrepreneurs around the world to create the Entrepreneur Guidebook. Rocket Bike recruits teams of volunteers (mostly students) on a yearly basis to cycle across the 6 continents and interview these entrepreneurs.Rocket Bike constitutes a balance between entrepreneurship and adventure. Besides writing professional articles and country profiles based on their respective interviews, the Rocket Bikers are responsible for creating adventure content during their journey (diaries, photos, films). In 2018, during the first Edition, Rocket Bike was awarded an Honorable Mention in the annual prestigious photography contest ND Awards.EDITION I (2018): Paul Desgrées du Loû, Nicolas Mery de Bellegarde and I cycled more than 7,000km in Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. We interviewed 29 entrepreneurs resulting in 27 articles and 4 country profiles, as well as realized 4 adventure films with their respective trailers.EDITION II (2019): Édouard Durieux and Alexandre Duval - Mexico, the United States and Canada.EDITION III (2019): Arif Fdani, Jules Brunel, Elias Leskinen and Matthieu Siossian - Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia.EDITION IV (2020): Melchior Plasmans and Gauthier Maufroy - Myanmar, Thailand and Laos. The COVID-19 pandemic forced them to put a stop to their progress and come back home.EDITION V (2020): Arthur Jennequin and Benjamin Niel started in Brasil but were stopped as well by the pandemic. However, they continued their mission in Iceland.EDITION VI (2020): Marie Fraissinet and Jonathan Cuinat were also supposed to go to South America. Due to the pandemic, they cycled and met Entrepreneurs in France.(updated 2020/10)
