Rockin' Baker and Rockin' Baker Academy were created by founder/CEO and chief foodie Daymara Baker for the purpose of empowering lives. Rockin' Baker sells European-inspired baked goods, lovingly created by underserved yet deserving people on the path to self-sufficiency. Kneading together a fun community of changemakers, immersive entrepreneurial education, on-the-job skills training and some wit to taste, Rockin' Baker trains individuals from vulnerable populations: differently abled individuals, veterans, with troubled pasts, and the ones who have fallen on hard times to help them transition into permanent employment. Rockin' Baker gets trainee referrals from other nonprofit organizations such as the Arkansas Support Network and The Grace School, as well as the National Caucus and Center on Black Aging.Rockin' Baker Academy is supported by wholesale and retail sales, and the kind support of donors and volunteers.
