Family Ranch; Raising American Alpine dairy goats for milk, cheese, yogurt, and soaps. Organic chickens for eggs and meat. Organic vegetables in a managed garden plot. Our llamas provide dual purposes; their main function is to protect the goat herd from predators. They also provide several pounds of luscious fiber every year. This is available currently as 'raw' (clean, but not processed) fiber, or as carded batts for spinners or other fiber artists. Becky was a Certified Veterinary Technician, with a special interest in animal behavior. She is currently providing her ranch-sitting service, and has provided special care for numerous species, including: llama, alpaca, sheep, goats (dairy also), horses and domestic pets as well. The ranch will also be available in 2021 for visits; 4H groups, Girl Scouts, homeschool groups can tour the small family farm to learn about raising animals and the work that goes into it. Fees based on group size and the educational track chosen.
