The sixth edition of Roma Whisky Festival ended on a high note. The elegant new venue, the famous brands, the Collectors' Corner, the masterclasses and seminars conducted by celebrated international experts and the third day devoted to the trade all contributed to its success. From 4 to 5 March 2017 the Festival attracted over 4,500 visitors – amateurs, enthusiasts and specialists alike - and gave local and international exhibitors and key industry players an opportunity to promote and discuss business and training initiatives in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. The Festival's location, the splendid Salone delle Fontane, 2,000 sq. metres of marble floors and colonnades, was transformed for the occasion by an array of colourful stands hosting an impressive display of famous labels. One of Spirit of Scotland's key objectives over the last four years has been to celebrate malt whisky by promoting its commercial potential and recognizing its cultural status. The Fifth Edition will be built on this year's success.NUMBERS OF THE 2017 EVENT: • Visitors over 2 days: 4,500 • Accreditedi journalists: 70• Exhibitors' guests: 250• Bottles sold: 900• Stands: 60• Label presented: 2000• Cocktails served: 750 • Masterclasses: 12• Mixology seminars : 5; participants: 380 • Whisky ABC: 300 participants
