Education Management - Plainsboro Township, New Jersey, United States
Roman Classroom Consulting LLC has been created to better be able to serve schools, districts, teachers, and other interested professionals by primarily teaching interested parties how to integrate microcomputers and microcontrollers into humanities courses. Led by Sarah Roman, she is currently an AP Literature and Junior Honors British Literature teacher at Raritan High School in Hazlet, New Jersey. She spends most of her time teaching and working to elevate writing, reading, and tech skills within her classes and has been integrating the Raspberry Pi and microcontrollers into her room for the past five years. She was one of the first forty Raspberry Pi Certified Educators to be trained in the United States and is continually striving to pair literary with the device. She's been featured in various articles and blogs, ranging from EdSurge to the Raspberry Pi Foundation to the NJEA magazine. Her classroom was filmed for Classroom Close-up in 2016 and, in the same year, she presented a TEDx Talk on her philosophy and methods. She travels the state in her free time holding Raspberry Jams and speaking at conferences and to school districts about various ways to incorporate these microcomputers and microcontrollers into humanities courses, particularly English. Currently, she's writing a book for Packt Publishing on the Raspberry Pi and home automation.
