Welcome to Room Redux-Bay Area, where healing and transformation go hand in hand. We are a 501c3 nonprofit, dedicated to facilitating healing and improving the lives of children who have faced abuse, through room transformation. Often times the abuse occurs in a child's own room, which can cause feelings of fear and create an aversion to the room, causing the child to avoid it entirely. Our mission is to give children new rooms, in which they can feel comfortable and safe. Through donations, grants and sponsorship and utilizing a team of volunteers, we are able to come in while the child is gone and in one day transform their room. This includes anything from new flooring and lighting, to new paint, window coverings and new or gently used furniture and accessories. Every child's room receives a new mattress, new bedding, and is designed based on the child's likes and interests. We also take into consideration any specific therapeutic tools needed in order to help foster healing. Room Redux California, accepts referrals from counselors, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, the Department of Family and Protective Services and law enforcement.
