We are the Washington University in St. Louis chapter of the Roosevelt Institute, a national network of public policy think tanks on college campuses. Roosevelt at WUSTL is a nonpartisan think tank focused on improving our community. A group of open-minded and driven individuals, we are dedicated to solving problems on local, state, and national levels. Each year, we split into groups to research, write, and lobby for policy alternatives—last year's policies ranged from community health care centers in rural Missouri to privatization in Tennessee. This year, we continue to tackle difficult problems affecting our lives. In addition to our policy development, we are also involved with Urban Plan, which brings civics and economics to high school students in Ferguson, Missouri, and with voter engagement efforts on the Washington University campus.
