Within a short walk is the Conception Bay Museum which is built on the site where Peter Easton, an infamous pirate, built his fort in 1612.Rose Manor has its own history: this Second Empire Style home was built in 1878 for Thomas R. Bennett, who at the time was the Speaker of the House of Assembly in St. John's.Your hosts – Lucy and Kevin Haire purchased the elegant home, renovated it and turned it into a luxurious inn which they have named Rose Manor Inn in honor of Kevin's mother, Rose. Lucy is fluent in Italian, enjoys cooking and baking for the guests. She takes great pride in making her home a beautiful place for her guests to relax and retreat. She is warm and welcoming and truly loves to host and entertain.
