Rostizado opened in Summer 2014 in Edmonton's 101-year old Mercer Building in Edmonton, Alberta's downtown 104 Street warehouse district.Here, laid-back nuevo latino cooking is enjoyed family-style. Just as Latin American dishes influence global culinary culture from the Middle East to France, Spain to the ancient Mayans, the diverse culinary riches found across the 32 states of Mexico serve as inspiration for Rostizado in Edmonton.Rostizado directly translates to "roasted" and sums in a word how fresh, quality local ingredients are tended in traditional-Mexican roasterie fashion: slow-cooked, heartening and distinctly chingón.Rostizado's 2,900-square-feet of reclaimed space has been thoughtfully designed by the owners, with help from designer Erika Sanchez, to balance drama with a casual, welcoming vibe.
