Chartered and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Nairobi in the Rotary Year 1977/78, The Rotaract Club of Nairobi Central is part of the worldwide Rotary International Rotaract organization that has spread across the globe with over 9,000 clubs. The membership of the club comprises graduate students and young professionals aged 18 – 30 years drawn from different and diverse cultures, nationalities and professions. The main objective of the club is leadership and professional development of its members while serving communities, building goodwill, better friendships and promoting international peace and understanding. The club remains one of the most vibrant Rotaract Clubs in Kenya and has been named four times as the Best club in Rotary International District 9212 (Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Eritrea) and the former Rotary International District 9200 that comprised of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Eritrea.
