Rotterdam Madrid Cycling Tour Details
Charity cycling team set up to cycle from Rotterdam to Madrid to raise funds for KiKa (Kinderen Kankervrij). At present in the Netherlands alone, 150 children die of cancer and of the 350 children that do survive the treatment is not always satisfactory, one of the post treatment complications is infertility. Since 2002 KiKa has been focussing on the possibility to create more finance options for research projects that try to tackle this disastrous problem in the society. In the 10 years that KiKa has been active there has been an overall increase of 5% in the survival rate of children that suffer from cancer.
