Our club has been at the heart of sailing in Weymouth for over 100 years and boasts a fascinating history.Situated in the beautiful coastal town of Weymouth, the Royal Dorset Yacht Club is at the gateway to idyllic, well sheltered waters set against the backdrop of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site. The Club has a long and proud tradition as a place to come and relax with like minded people, friends and family to share stories of past cruises, races and social events. In a prime location overlooking Weymouth harbour, the clubhouse is a great asset to the Royal Dorset Yacht Club. It retains and celebrates the Club's history and traditions whilst providing first class bar and catering facilities, with separate lounge and dining areas, free WiFi and stunning views over Weymouth Harbour. In addition to the clubhouse itself, there is an outside area with an air conditioned marquee and bar. All of this makes the clubhouse a welcoming place to socialise. It is also a great venue for a variety of functions. We cater for weddings, birthday parties, and corporate functions and venue hire is available to members and non-members. Membership has a number of benefits, including: use of a fabulous clubhouse, taking part in cruising, racing and social events throughout the year, use of club moorings in Portland harbour and discount on food and drink at the club.
