My name is Pani Brown and I am the president of Royal Outreach, a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization, located in West Valley City, Utah founded in 2015. At this time, we are reaching out to ask for your help in our service efforts. Our organization began from the rich heritage and strong values of the Polynesian culture. As a people we are collectivistic, believing that the stronger community makes the stronger individual. We are from the islands where we learned to rely on each other for success. This established a tradition and continuation of values like generosity, service, and hard work. We know the positive influence that can come from having a local support group that extends through families, friends, and neighbors into the community. Our goal to strengthen our community through service and opportunity is especially relevant and necessary in our city of West Valley. In 2017, Neighborhood Scout reported "with a crime rate of 53 per one thousand residents, West Valley City has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes – from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 19. Within Utah, more than 97% of the communities have a lower crime rate than West Valley City." Our goal and focus is to help and serve underprivileged youth and families by giving them a better community to surround themselves in. We understand that "underprivileged" can mean more than a financial class, which is why our service provides different solutions to improving ourselves, our community, and our surroundings. Our past efforts and projects have established things like new soccer, softball, basketball, and weight training club teams, as well as sports training. We have provided tutoring and mentorship to help with education. We have given back to our local emergency response teams and to their efforts with issues like suicide awareness. We know our efforts in improving our community will reach out past the West Valley City lines. While these past projects have come with little outside financial support, we have recently been blessed by a generous donation from James Wolfgramm, CEO of BITEX, a local cryptocurrency mining company in Orem. After doing their due diligence of researching our projects and goals, they have decided to support our efforts and continue to help us as we continue to help others. We would love to highlight this donation which has made it possible for us to take our service, projects, and community outreach to a new level. Our goal is to make all walks of life feel like royalty, creating our purpose of Royal Outreach. This donation and support from BitEx has already begun to make our dream come to life and has brought immeasurable hope and light to our community.
