Role of the Coastal Patrol - The Coastal Patrol has a role at all levels in assisting members of the boating community to educate and protect themselves, their passengers and their vessels. These roles are a core part of the "Constitution of the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol", registered with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission. The Coastal Patrol works closely with the NSW Maritime Authority, NSW Police and Water Police, NSW SES, Australian Customs, NSW Ambulance, NSW Fire Brigade and the Rural Fire Services, St John Ambulance, WICEN, local councils and other government agencies.
