Ruby Radio started in Elko, NV in 2002 when we built Mix 96.7, now the #1 station 16 years running. BIG Country 103.9 came on air 2¬005, then KZBi-FM, the area's strongest signal and #1 station among Men 18+ in 1008. In 2017, we signed on True Country Classics 100.5 FM to feature the Country artists we all love. By expanding KZBI and BIG Country's signals to reach Battle Mountain, Ruby Radio covers 200 miles of I-80 from Golconda Summit east past Wells. Through some technical know-how, we've added two additional stations in Elko as HD signals: 101.1 Coyote FM which plays a hard-rock version of classic rock, and Z107.7, hits of the 2000's and 90's. Eastlan ratings indicate we reach 86% of all residents in Elko and its surrounding area between ages 25-54. Our President, Ken Sutherland, has been in radio as a disc jockey, program director, salesperson, General Manager and owner for 45+ years.
