I was born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Mobile, Alabama. I attended high school at St. Paul's Episcopal School and obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama. Obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising, with a minor in History in 1983. I graduated in the top 10% in the School of Communications.After graduating from the University of Alabama, Rudene went directly to law school at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University located in Birmingham, Alabama graduating in the top third of her class. I graduated from law school in 1986 and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in September of 1986. I clerked for the Honorable Braxton L. Kittrell, Jr. in the Thirteenth Judicial District of Alabama.I joined the Mobile office of the law firm of Clark, Scott & Sullivan, P.C. in August 1987 as an associate practicing in the area of Insurance Defense. I became a partner in 1991. In February of 1995, I and two of the other partners at Clark, Scott & Sullivan, P.C. left to form our own firm and I have been in private practice since. I continues to practice in the area of Insurance Defense.I am admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Alabama, Middle District of Alabama, and Southern District of Alabama. I am admitted to practice in all Alabama State courts. She is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, Alabama State Bar, Workers Compensation Law Section, Middle Bar Association, Alabama Workers Compensation Association, Alice Meadows Counsel, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and Defense Research Institute.I am a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and perform volunteer work through Junior League of Mobile and Mobile Bar Association Pro Bono Program. I am a board member of the City of Mobile Swimming. I have two children, a son and a daughter. Besides the practice of law, I enjoys tennis, fishing and sports activities.
