Runaway88 is a Luxury Animal-friendly brand. Their aim is to provide each client with luxury without the guilt. Runaway88 was set up by Jade Johnson and Naomi Grossett who both were born and raised in London. Although Jade and Naomi have come from very different creative backgrounds they have the same core values which is what Runaway88 has been built upon.Which brings us to the name Runaway88 and the meaning behind it. When the name is broken into two sections each part has a significant meaning that symbolises the brand. Runaway embodies the combination of freedom, strength, and courage, against vulnerability, instability and fear of the unknown. Whilst the 88, refers to the year the designers were born, with the 8's reflecting time and it's everlasting continuity. The brand focuses on the balance of each of these elements which can be seen in their pieces through structural hard lines against some fluidity and free flowing forms. Along with being Animal-Friendly Runaway88 also have a strong desire to work with charities. They already have ties with Amnesty International UK and hope to support relevant charities through their own fashion campaigns.
