Telecommunications - Colchester, Illinois, United States
The Rural Access Network (RAN) was established in 2017 to market telecommunications services in rural communities. RAN's mission is simple: provide affordable, reliable, and scalable service to its customers. Through aggregating ILECs, CLECs and other fiber providers, RAN affords the opportunity to offer advanced services in underserved rural areas, connecting them to a world of opportunities. RAN has grown rapidly to encompass a large radius of rural Illinois and plans to expand further with the aid of our partner providers . The core tenets of the RAN are to:1) Bridge the middle mile gap for rural providers.2) Serve as a wholesale conduit for voice, data, and Ethernet services.3) Maximize revenue for last mile providers. With RAN, rural customers no longer need to sacrifice connectivity for location.RAN is part of MTC Communications, which was incorporated in 1996 as a subsidiary of McDonough Telephone Cooperative.
