Background\\Rural Women's Network Nepal (RUWON Nepal) is an autonomous networking based non-governmental social organization, working for the rights and social justice of women, youth and children in Nepal. In 2007, the organization was registered in the district administration office, Sindhuli, with the NGO Federation Nepal, and the Internal Revenue office, Janakpur. In addition, it secured affiliation with the Social Welfare Council, Nepal. Though RUWON is a newly formed organization, it has already implemented a number of projects across the country, majority being in the districts of Sindhuli and Kathmandu. \\RUWON Nepal supports women from excluded, marginalized, and disadvantaged communities to achieve sustainable and equitable development through social inclusion, advocacy and empowerment. Also, RUWON works for the rights of children and youth. By creating forums for discussion, education, and awareness, the organization aspires to build the capacity of children and youth to actively participate in the development of the country. Sustainable peace and democracy are central to RUWON's philosophy and its programs.
