Complex and simple human beings as we are, so is the design process. Creative minds, a whole wealth of constraints and the search for that powerful solution. Each project is unique, each one facing particular conflicts and decisions, exchanging possibilities, coming together as an end result and consequence of one of the most dynamic processes of art. Design for us is an educational matter. We enjoy learning from the client, the past, the present and a world of possibilities. But we believe in following certain holistic and eclectic principles that have been learnt through experience and believe them to be an expression of all elements in the architectural process. The studio was founded 2005 to work on high quality residential new build, extension and master-planning projects with a particular emphasis on sustainability and environmental issues. Typical project size ranges from £100,000 to £1.5m. Projects are taken from an insightful concept sketch, on to detailed and rigorous planning and building control. Clients are assisted on tender selection, and the practice takes pride on administrating the contract during construction through to practical completion.
