He founded and managed a successful law firm, AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, has served as an expert witness, and has lectured and written on legal matters. In addition, Mr. Russo has played key policy-making roles in California, written major legislation in the State Capitol, and served as Chief of Staff to the Chair of the Assembly Rules Committee and Legal Counsel to the Speaker of the California Assembly and has negotiated and brought divergent parties to agree on solutions to impasses on legislation involving hundreds of millions of dollars.Mr. Russo graduated with honors from Yale University in 1973 and received his law degree from Boalt Hall, at the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his comprehensive mediation training and coursework through Steven Rosenberg's professional program and the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. He is an Executive Board member of the Alameda County Bar Association Alternate Dispute (ADR) Section.
