Rutabaga Education is a one-of-a-kind, easy-to-teach curriculum that incorporates garden-based science, nutrition, and nature, designed for grades Pre-K through 4th. It's an accessible program that can be used by teachers, classroom volunteers, and homeschooling parents who are looking to grow the next generation of eco-conscious citizens.Curriculum content is scaffolded and includes NGSS Core Ideas and Crosscutting Concepts while weaving in STEAM, History, Nutrition, and Global Responsibility. This is on top of promoting an environment of collaboration, respect, and kindness. Rutabaga Education was designed by a teacher/gardener/mother to have an intuitive structure that offers 30 weeks of garden instruction throughout the school year, providing an engaging, holistic approach that touches on everything from healthy eating to composting, history to art, and conservation to mindfulness.
