Ruth is a British-Trinidadian multi-media artist resident in Switzerland. Her artworks, inspired by her childhood memories of being brought up on a Caribbean island by her grandmother and aunts, are about women. Their bold colours and delicious curves celebrate strong beautiful women who are confident in their bodies and own the space they occupy.Each artwork is is built up of layers of paint, a variety of papers and can include anything from feathers to threads and sand.
