Manchester is a city close to our hearts. Rick's first experience of the area was when living in Fallowfield whilst at university in Manchester during the early nineties; back then Fallowfield was still the student hub it is today, although the typical accommodation at the time was limited to box bedrooms, woodchip walls and mismatched furniture. Four years passed; the Hacienda closed, and once the student loan payments had dried up the rat-race of real life beckoned. Rick chose to stay in Manchester, opting for the monotony of a local call centre over returning to the satellite town of Darwen in Lancashire. A chance encounter with a stranger in a Ferrari made Rick realise that the world of telecoms was not for him, and he put every effort into getting into the property game. A tough few years followed, but after a brief stint of running the office from a car boot, RWIA Developments was born as a branch of House Manchester.Fast forward 15 years, and we're still here. Rick has never forgotten the years spent in M14, which is why he's put so much time and effort in creating a portfolio of the best student housing in the area.Today, you can find us in the same office we opened in 2006 – in the heart of Fallowfield, just a 5 minute walk from Wilmslow Road.
