Management Consulting - Ijamsville, Maryland, United States
The purpose of my company is to facilitate LEAN continuous improvement activities in organizations looking to improve processes for better flow, velocity, and quality, while developing more functional teams. LEAN thinking often results in improvements of over 50%.I live in the Central Maryland area and I want to work here (though not exclusively). I'm interested in helping organizations in the area grow and provide good jobs that create great goods and services for the community. Implementing LEAN principles as a core competency is an excellent way to accomplish those goals. LEAN principles cannot be "installed" overnight in an organization; they must be learned, put to use, struggled with and mastered. Everybody in the organization must infuse their skills and talents with LEAN principles. True World Class Excellence will take years of reapplying the principles and improving over time. This work is done by both the leadership and members of the organization. While there are many ways to approach the journey, it has been consistently noted that getting assistance at the right times can speed the process up and keep from getting bogged down.Although LEAN is often associated with Manufacturing, the truth is that LEAN principles can be applied to any organization. Every organization has suppliers, processes, customers, and people. Great organizations align all of these to produce products and services that customers want and are willing to pay for.
