Any individual referred by a hospital social worker or other professional is accepted. Carers are also accommodated alone when a patient is hospitalisedThe Ivanhoe Homes is part of the world-wide mission of the late Group Captain Lord Cheshire VC, the most highly-decorated service person in the Second World War, and his wife the late Baroness Sue Ryder, herself a distinguished war hero, who devoted their lives to the relief of human sufferingThe Committee of Management is comprised of local people and everything they do is on a voluntary basis. Community groups, church groups and local and country individuals support the Homes. Residents and volunteers assist with the many domestic and administrative tasks associated with the Homes
