I had the pleasure in the spring of 2013 of doing a major interior architectural design, build and installation for tech startup AdRoll in the heart of San Francisco's SOMA district. Partnering up with Joe Chambers Art & Design, we spent months working with the client to create unique panel railing for their mezzanine and rebuild an entire spiral staircase. Accented with laser cut gears, each perforated steel panel received a gun blue finish and was capped off with beautiful stained ash wood railing. Have a look at the photos, we can do something similar for your home or business. Summer 2012 dropped a very fun project in my lap- a commission to build the Squid Car! Over a 2001 F150 pickup truck we have built a Cephalopod Hot Rod, or Kraken if you will. Lots of curving steel, gullwing doors, sumptuous upholstery and a powerful sound and lighting system to boot! Back in November 2010 I completed a major 2 part public art installation in the City of Goodyear, Arizona in November for my client Marta Thoma. Serving as project manager and crew leader was an exciting and satisfying challenge. Our excellent team of fabricators made it go quickly and funly- Matthew Monico, Evan Tracy, and Jason "G" Gronlund. Onward and upward! Seen here is mainly the larger sculptural artwork I've done, but I've most certainly built an endless variety of more conventional functional and structural items such as furniture, a kiosk display for the Walnut Creek Wildlife Museum, Art Deco ornamentation for the Alameda Theater restoration, ornamental security fences and gateways, stainless steel hand rails, medieval style doors, green tech alternative energy devices and infrastructure, signage for restaurants and design firms, and even detail work on a massive 1920 steam tractor.
