So what is SaaS Simplified? The short backstory behind the podcast started last year in a 10X10 room while taking my Scrum Master Certification Class. Scrum was my first introduction into the SaaS world and man did it introduce me. As I continued to learn about different aspects of the SaaS industry the one thing that became abundantly clear was that no one had an easy to understand explanation of several SaaS jobs. This problem reminded me of what one of my mentors always says, "If you don't put the cookies on the bottom shelf, you will always have a full cookie jar." . I don't know about you, but I don't think we are meant to only consume content and experiences and not share them, so this is me sharing my preverbal cookies."How are you any different?", you might ask. Well let me explain our format here at SaaS Simplified. Practically, we serve our local high school through a weekly training program focused on four different learning paths:1. Coding2. Project Management3. Communication/ Design4. SalesWe implement a four quarter curriculum designed to equip high school students to transition into a SaaS job upon graduation. On the media side, every week we will release a podcast interview with someone working at a SaaS company; everyone from SDR's to CEO's. These people will answer 3 basic questions:What is your job/ What do you do on a daily basis? How did you get to your current role? What are tangible steps someone with no experience could take to work towards your role? These questions will provide a simple, yet insightful look into the SaaS world. Our target audience that we want to influence is High School/ College Students, Veterans transitioning from the military, and people who are trying to transition to the SaaS world. If you are interested in learning more, or if you know of anyone you think should be interviewed, email: stuart.a.mullins@gmail.com with the subject line: SaaS Simplified.
