We are Austria´s largest grower and producer of seeds. We have been true to our tradition of plantbreeding since 1950. Our roots and headquarters are in Linz, the capital of Upper Austria´s fertile agricultural landscape. A cooperative of farmers since our foundation, we have grown into an internationally sucessful company with currently about 3,100 members.Breeding plants and producing seeds have been our passions for more than 60 years. Research and development of SAATBAU is based on the application of the latest technology and the methods are constantly being optimized. The goal is to achieve varieties with high kernel quality, yield potential, healthiness and optimal processing abilities.Every year SAATBAU registers approx. 30 new varieties in the domestic and foreign markets.SAATBAU produces every year more than 130 varieties of more than 30 crops!
