Furniture - Shinagawa City, Tokyo, Japan
Traditional Hand-Knotted Carpets have been in use since the late 11th century not only by the royals but by the nomads also. They were a source of meaningful comfort for them as each rug had been weaved by the family members. Doing daily chores like eating, drinking, sleeping, and working on the rugs gave each its own unique story. Additionally while moving from one place to another, rugs were used as saddles and as a source of storage. In the 21st century a rug has lost its value. Through Saba Rugs we are trying to provide our customers the opportunity to revive those feelings, those emotions once again.
