The South African Council for the Architectural Profession was establishedin terms of Section 2 of the Architectural Profession Act (APA), 44 of2000. The APA gives the Council powers to regulate the professionthrough the registration of persons eligible for registration; developmentof rules; policies; standards; and procedures; as well as accreditation;professional conduct management and the management of ContinuingProfessional Development (CPD). Furthermore, SACAP is mandatedto develop the Identification of Work (IDoW) framework for RegisteredPersons, together with related professional fees guidelines.
