Sadanam Institute of Commerce and Management Studies (SICOMS) is in the field of Management Education for the 1 decade.The institute run by Gandhi Seva Sadan Charitable Trust, is situated in the educationally backward Palakkad District of Kerala. Our aim is to bring quality education to the under-privileged rural youth, mainly belonging to financially and educationally backward families. We thus, aim to break the barrier of inaccessibility for the rural students who wish to join for quality management education. Our PGDM programme is approved by the AICTE and consists of 6 trimesters. In the 5th and 6th trimesters the students get placed and they submit Capstone Project Report after six months of working, based on which PGDM Degree is finally awarded.Our placement record from inception till date is 100%. We would like to continue placing all the students and maintain our record of 100% placement of the students. Our core faculty team include alumnus of IIM–A, IIM-C, XLRI&IIT-K and other veterans from the industry.The present managing trustee of the Gandhi Seva Sadan Charitable Trust, K.Ravikumar an alumnus of IIM(A), entered into the field of building educational institutions in the year 2005. His pet project, the Sadanam Institute of Commerce and Management Studies offering PGDM residential course of 2 years was established in 2008 in Pathiripala, a rural area in Palakkad district, Kerala. Knowing the intrinsic value of the course and its acceptability among the top employers he stood his ground declaring that for him education is not a lucrative business. The trust had enough land in its possession and with the help of financing from a bank, a modest infrastructure was built and the institute was started in 2008 with the approval of AICTE. Though the intake was low in the initial stages, there was no dearth of professionally qualified faculty specifically recruited to see through the teething troubles.
