SAE Collegiate Club, IITG has been organising various lectures and workshops since its inception to impart automotive knowledge to the students and equip them with the knowledge of important design and simulation software which are an integral part of automobile design process.With an aim of providing hands on experience of design and manufacturing of an automobile to the enthusiastic students, the team has participated in national competitions like FORMULA BHARAT 2017 (Team Evolution),SUPRA SAEINDIA 2018 & 2015(Team Evolution), BAJA SAEINDIA 2012 (Team Srijan) and SAENIS Effi Cycle 2013-17 (Team Evolution).In its very first attempt, the Team Srijan cracked Virtual BAJA 2011 and successfully fabricated an All Terrain Vehicle. To follow, the Team Evolution secured 21st rank out of 80 teams from all over India in its very first attempt at SAENIS Effi Cycle 2013. It participated again in SAENIS Effi Cycle 2015 and secured 13th position. Team Evolution has gone ahead to participate in Formula Styled race-car competitions like SUPRA SAEINDIA 2015 and FB 2017 were we secured 7th in cost event category and the overall rank of 21st in FB 2017.
