The Safari West Wildlife Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating wildlife advocates. We do so by providing an ongoing series of wildlife education programs for people of all ages at the Safari West Wildlife Preserve. Sponsored class trips, a Jr Keeper program for kids, and scholarships all contribute to that goal. Through the foundation, qualified schools with no budget for field trips can also experience the joy and benefit from the knowledge that comes from a class visit.Dozens of species of mammals, birds, and reptiles from Africa are available for face-to-face encounters, supported by helpful Safari West staff members. Safari West is also involved in conservation breeding to help bolster populations of endangered species such as the waldrapp ibis, addax antelope, Nile lechwe, and others. In 2020 we introduced our new program called Safari West Live! We can now bring the magic and majesty of Safari West to children across the globe. This digital, cutting-edge program delivers a fully interactive, high quality, LIVE Safari experience with no more than an internet connection, a screen, and a microphone.
