Safe Care Campaign was founded in 2006 after the Nahum family experienced 3 separate infections in 3 different family members in 3 different hospitals in 3 different states. Victoria and Armando, co-founders of the organization created the campaign after their son, Joshua died of a gram negative infection. He was 27. The campaign seeks to educate the public as to how they may stay safe from these types of infections (health care associated as well as community associated) and works with hospitals to effect a culture of safety.
