Safe Child Africa protects and empowers some of the world's most vulnerable children, including many victims of witchcraft accusations. By standing up for their rights and providing schooling, shelter and healthcare, we're giving these kids the future every child deserves. If a child is branded a witch, they live in fear of being abused, tortured and even executed. And four in five of them will be made homeless, often because they've been abandoned by their parents. This will then put them at greater risk of other dangers in the area, such as trafficking. No one should have a childhood like this – and we're one of the only international charities working on the ground to stop it.Our achievements include changing laws, starting orphanages, opening schools and helping more than 1 million kids read and write. And with our supporters and partners, we'll continue doing everything we can so that these kids feel safe, happy and hold their futures in their hands.
