India has the highest rate of road accidents and some of the most stressful driving conditions in the world. We're applying technology to augment & enhance Driving School training in an attempt to change that.SafeRoads India was selected the Winning Startup Idea at Lean Startup Machine 2013, Bangalore hosted by Microsoft Accelerator. Encouraged by positive Customer Validation, multiple Letters of Intent and the support of several LSM Mentors, a few of the original volunteer team members have committed themselves to developing this idea into a viable product.Well, at least that was the plan. In October 2013 we completed development of our Proof of Concept software. Based on this technology demonstrator we were able to secure seed funding for a building full-scale Prototype.However, soon afterwards, for personal reasons we decided to take a break to pursue other commitments and interests for a while. Though active development has now taken a back seat, we continue to passively explore opportunities to surmount challenges that we came across in our attempt to build a MVP.
