Sahaviriya Plate Mill Public Company Limited (SPM) was established on June 13, 1989 and has been awarded promotional privileges by the Board of Investment of Thailand. The mill is located in the Bang Pakong steel complex of the Sahaviriya Group. Employing state-of-the-art tech-nology from Japan and Taiwan, it manufactures hot-rolled steel plates from steel slabs with an annual capacity of 1,000,000 MT. As a long-term goal, it endlessly strived to supply high quality heavy steel plates in response to its customer.Steel plates are used for many applications ranging from bridges, steel structures, ships, off-shore structures, buildings, machines, storage tanks, boilers, pressure vessels to pipelines. To meet such varieties, steel plates come in many different grades, each with its own specific characteristics. Anticipating such varied demands, Sahavirya Plate Mill, is designed to produce a wide range of products. The plate dimension is 6mm-100mm in thickness, 1219mm-2,134mm in width and 2,438mm-18,288mm in length. The mill's high-performance capability is reflected in its ability to produce high tensile steel plates, medium carbon steel plates, as well as ordinary carbon steel plates.
