The RIT Dubai Sailing Tigers is a student team from the Rochester Institute of Dubai dedicated to representing the United Arab Emirates in participating in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, a sustainable boat racing competition, and driving innovation in the sustainable maritime industry. We devote our time and effort to designing, manufacturing, and competing in an energy-efficient style boat. All the design and manufacturing are undergone, in entirety, by students. We will once again be competing in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2022, sponsored by the Yacht Club de Monaco, and led by its President HSH Prince Albert II. Our club's outstanding display in the 2021 edition has given us much exposure and motivated current members to compete again as we are motivated by being a representative of the UAE as the first and only team to ever participate in this international competition from the MENA region. Teams will be competing against one another by creating a zero-emission boat solely critiqued on design and innovation.
