St. Joseph College Seminary is affiliated with Loyola University Chicago, which confers the degrees on our students. Seminarians attending St. Joseph College Seminary will receive their undergraduate college education by pursuing a B.A. in Philosophy in preparation for entry into theological studies. This formation will be provided on behalf of the Archbishop of Chicago to train priests for service in the Archdiocese of Chicago as well as other archdioceses, dioceses, and religious communities in the United States. St. Joseph College Seminary seeks to develop the natural gifts of the seminarians as men of faith in and commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church in an integrated program of spiritual, intellectual, human, and pastoral formation in accordance with the teaching and practice of the Catholic Church and the directives of the Catholic Church for priestly training.
