Sakana Consultants is a young and dynamic company providing expertise and advice on the management of marine natural resources to a wide range of clients from the public and private sectors: administrations, professional organisations, research institutes, private companies…Mainly focused on the fishing and aquaculture sector, our team has an extensive expertise in fisheries economics, biostatistics and in the design of management systems. We have been involved in multiple projects about fisheries economic issues mainly in Europe, in Africa, in the Indian Ocean and in South-East Asia.We are based in Brest, France, one of the major European hotspots in terms of marine research notably in fisheries economics, fisheries biology and integrated coastal zone management. The city is the hometown for several leading institutes such as the European Institute for Marine Studies (IUEM), IFREMER or the CEDRE.
