s.a.l.t sisters is an award-winning, natural sea salt and gourmet seasoning company. It all started when our founder, Charmane Andrews Skillen, created a few seasoning blends that were so well liked by her family and friends that she began offering them at local farmers markets. The company grew organically from there and now offers more than 80 proprietary products, including herb seasonings, gourmet salts, spice rubs and infused salts. The inspiration behind s.a.l.t. sisters came when Charmane was raising her four daughters: Sydney, Alexis, Lauren, and Taylor (the "s.a.l.t." sisters). Charmane was passionate about cooking and always looking to provide wholesome and delicious meals for her family that did not take a lot of time to prepare. In her quest for optimal nutrition, Charmane learned about the benefits of unrefined salts. Natural, unrefined salts (often pink or gray in color whereas refined, commercial salt is bleached white), contain 80+ trace minerals, including essential minerals such as magnesium and potassium. In its natural, unrefined state, salt has many health benefits. All our seasoning blends are hand-crafted in our Goshen, Indiana facility where we combine mineral-rich, unrefined salts with high-quality herbs and spices allowing at-home chefs to serve healthy and flavorful meals in no time. Every product is gluten-free, MSG-free, preservative-free, and non-GMO. In an effort to be eco-friendly, we've implemented rigorous recycling standards that enabled us to reduce waste to a single garbage bag per week. We believe that health and sustainability go hand in hand. Our team strives to create products that add joy, health and flavor to people's lives while being conscience of our impact on our local and global communities. Our products are available on-line at Amazon and saltsisters.net as well as in-store at a variety of specialty shops worldwide. For more info and healthy recipes, check us out on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
