SambaCloud was founded in Berkeley in 2011 by Razmik Abnous and Ian Howells who have a unique insight into content management having been early employees at Documentum and Alfresco. The company was founded on a belief that every layer in the enterprise stack will be disrupted by the consumerization of IT from both a user experience and modern infrastructure perspective. User expectations are set by companies like Flipboard, Pandora, Evernote and Asana. Modern content intensive infrastructures are driven by NoSQL and analytics.SambaCloud believe what is required today is a middle ground between working in an ad-hoc way and being a workflow prisoner. We call this agile workflow where users can work in a team on content in a similar way to Asana®. SambaCloud believe the explosion of content is driving a shift in the way we consume and collaborate on content.
