From pure ingredients come tasty, healthy, and boldly flavored chili sauce. OUR STORY Started back in 1959, Sambal Bulan Purnama was originally named Tao Yen. Founded in Lampung, our great-grandmother cooked the sambal meticulously using traditional cooking method combined with fresh ingredients. The two-day cooking process resulted in a thick-textured sambal that provides spiciness without losing its unique flavor. OUR FACTORY We are using high grade industry-standard machineries to produce our sambal. All of our processes are semi-automatic with very few manual work, making sure all the process are sterile and uncontaminated. We sincerely believe cleanliness is next to godliness, thus we maintain clean environment in our factory with very limited workers involved. OUR MISSION Sambal Bulan Purnama strives to improve the food people enjoy through making tasty, healthy, and boldly flavored sauces. We are transparent with our ingredients, adopt sourcing and production practices that are sustainable and socially responsible, and maintain a clean working environment in our factory.
