The San Diego Renewable Energy Society (SDRES) is a non-profit membership-based organization dedicated to increasing the intelligent use of renewable and sustainable energy technologies in San Diego County through education, advocacy, networking and the presentation of free public events like the San Diego Solar Tour. SDRES is the San Diego Chapter of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), the nation's first association of solar professionals and grassroots advocates. Our Vision SDRES's vision is for San Diego to achieve a 100% clean and renewable net energy portfolio. All energy used within San Diego will be matched 100% by clean and renewable energy generation. This vision will be achieved by benefiting the private companies and public utilities, City and County governments, and San Diegan businesses and residents. We will get there without compromising the safety, reliability, or affordability of the energy quality we have today SDRES (San Diego Renewable Energy Society) promotes renewable energy through education and networking to the public and government sectors. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and the local chapter of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES).
