The Municipality of San Vicente, in the Province of Palawan is a small town that is home to the aptly named Long Beach, the single longest beach in the Philippines.San Vicente is a relatively underrated tourist destination compared to the more popular Palawan towns/city like El Nido, Coron and Puerto Princesa, but it is quite known for its pristine beaches and clear blue waters that are also home to magnificent coral reefs, not to mention the untouched waterfalls in the area. The province of Palawan is under the jurisdiction of Region IV-B (MIMAROPA – Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), the Southern Tagalog Region that lies in the southwest part of the Philippines. The municipality of San Vicente is found 186 kilometers northwest of Puerto Princesa City, one of the top tourist destinations in the island of Palawan.Although it is not as well known to the public, San Vicente has been recognized as an Eco-Town municipality and has also been designated a First Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone (TEZ) in the country. The town has a land area of about 166,000 hectares that are divided into ten barangays. It has its own airport, making it a strategic tourist location as it also serves as a major gateway to the more popular tourist spots like El Nido and the Underground River.
