After 36 years working in international operations, I returned to the US and started my consulting business. I have the experience that operators need. A summary of my job responsibility is as follows:• Direct and control operational activities related to drilling, workover and well completion carried out by contractors/services companies. • Direct the proper implementation of various operational programs, e.g., drilling, workover, completion, logging, testing, acidizing, fracturing, etc. • Ensure that all operations on the rig site location are carried out by pertinent contract provisions consistent with safety, environment and loss prevention policies, rules and regulations. • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and Safety Management System (SMS) as applicable to rig operations. • Monitor all supply activities of Company materials and equipment to ensure economic and cost-effective utilization. • Prepare drilling/workover reports summarizing all rig activities in the previous 24 hours.• Responsible for the safety of rig crews and contracted service personnel. • Ensure well control and authorized remedial/preventive actions in case of emergency or hazards to safety. Such emergencies included detection of H2S, blow out, and kick control.• Other responsibilities include fiscal accountability and loss prevention for Customer-owned equipment and materials, timely communications with Drilling/Workover Operations Superintendent and logistical coordination of transportation services, materials movement, drilling/ well services.
