Santa Clara Valley Science Fair Association (SCVSEF) is a non-profit organization that supports innovators and thought leaders of tomorrow as the organizer and administrator of the Synopsys Championship, a regional affiliate of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). Our mission is to awaken more students to the wonders and power of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Today's students will need to self-motivate and be ready to learn anywhere, anytime, at any age. Through participation in the Synopsys Championship, students learn the critical skills of initiative, research, perseverance, and self-regulated learning succeed in their adult lives.The importance of regional science fairs in California cannot be understated. The Silicon Valley is home to some of the best young minds in the country and success at the regional fairs allows the students to advance to the state and international competitions. The Synopsys Championship is made possible by the Synopsys Outreach Foundation and generous donations from companies and individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Non-profit organizations such as SCVSEFA are the hubs that push the envelope in STEM through our next generation of students and young adults. They ultimately generate the next round of startups, create jobs, develop solutions for healthcare and social good, and will develop the technologies that impact our everyday lives. The SCVSEFA organization is a great channel for companies in Silicon Valley to get involved with their community and help develop the next generation of leaders. The SCVSEFA needs your support to continue putting on the Synopsys Championship. Although the majority of our funding is from the Synopsys Outreach Foundation and major donors, IRS regulations require that at least one third of our funding comes from small donors. If you think the Synopsys Championship is a worthwhile event, please consider donating.
